The word society represents the people surrounding you. They are the people you know and the people you don’t know. And due to human nature, you tend to be part of this tribe or the society. This society decides what is wrong and what is right. If you don’t follow their rules you are evil and wrong and if you follow their rules, welcome to the group of commons.

Today I will talk about the following:

  • How is your life controlled by someone else?

  • How did I discover the truth?

  • How can one take control over their life again?

How is your life controlled by someone else?

If I would ask any random friend of mine, my teachers, my parents, or anyone, this one question, How do ultra-rich and successful people we all know get rich and successful? The most common answer will be, They are not normal humans and they are blessed with ultimate talent. And what will happen if I ask them, How can I become one of them? The most common answer would be“The best way to earn is to get a good-paying job”. We are taught from our childhood how much we can achieve and we are not blessed enough to do what it takes. The problem is that most people on this planet will find these conversations normal.

Hundreds of people have proved society wrong with their out-of-the-box thinking, and hundreds of them followed them and many of them shared their thoughts with us. It is quite clear from their words that society teaches and creates more like them and those who have got out of that cycle did it with the correct mindset. Anyone can become what they want and break this cycle themselves. You have the liberty and the right to achieve how much you want. There is an abundance of everything in this universe. It’s just up to you if you are attracting abundance or scarcity.

How did I discover the truth?

From my childhood, I have experienced the outcomes of a scarcity mindset which made it clear in my mind that I need to earn a lot of money to have a good life. So I chose a number and decided this amount would do it. That time that amount seemed so big that I thought I could buy a helicopter ride with it. Fast forward to the time when I got a job after focusing years on getting good grades and competing with millions of students for a seat in a reputed college. I prepared for this job the same way I did my education which is to focus on the results, not the learning. The job offered more than I imagined in my childhood and I thought I was on the right path to becoming rich.

Months passed by, and I was spending more than what I was earning, spending hours working for someone who came in Porche 911 and enjoying my life on just weekends. This wasn’t the life I imagined a guy on the correct path would have. I felt depressed and thought I couldn’t live life like this. For fun, I tried to start a ‘side hustle’ of print-on-demand t-shirts. Again I understood this wasn’t just a side hustle, you needed a marketing degree equivalent knowledge. One day while watching YouTube I saw the summary video of RICH DAD POOR DAD. My friend told me this is a good book you should try. And for the first time in my life, I bought a book to read and this was the best decision of my life.

How can one take control over their life again?

That book changed the way I think about money and completely shook my belief system. Here are 5 takeaway lessons I learned until now that can help you take control of your finances.

  • You don’t have to be a genius to earn millions.

  • Don’t work for money.

  • Focus on yourself. Learn skills, network, and gain knowledge.

  • Money is made from money with the power of compounding.

  • Money runs away from a scarce mindset to an abundant mindset.

Understanding the fact that the secret to riches is no longer secret. Have the correct mindset and break the cycle created by society.

That’s all from DAY 10.
